Corps

FAIRFAX, Va., May 8, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Federal Data Corporation (FDC)
announced today that it has been awarded the Peace Corps Seat Management task
order.

This is a five-year, $16.9 million task order under the GSA Seat Management
Services contract. The contract will support 885 seats across the United States
with an option to perform seat management services for an additional 2,000 seats
in the Peace Corps' foreign operations sites (overseas posts).

Under this task order, users will receive service and product from FDC and its
partners, ENTEX Information Services, Incorporated, Compaq Computer Corporation,
and Cisco Systems. This is the fifth task order awarded under the GSA Seat
Management Contract and the second awarded to FDC.

"Our goal at FDC," said Tom Arnsmeyer, Vice President of FDC's IT Management
Services, "is to provide the Peace Corps with a smooth transition to a world
class IT computing environment over the next few months. We appreciate the
confidence that the Peace Corps has placed in FDC ".

FDC will provide and support a Seat Management solution for the Peace Corps that
includes a migration from a Macintosh to an Intel-based enterprise. FDC will
provide all hardware, software and support services for infrastructure
management, help desk, hardware/software maintenance, asset management,
enterprise administration, on-line catalogs and training services.

In addition, FDC will provide guidance and insight to the Peace Corps on the
latest technology and the best use of this technology in the various Peace Corps
locations.

"I'm pleased that our partnership with the Peace Corps has resulted in a
successful task order award to FDC," said Steve Berg, Director of GSA's FEDCAC.
"The Peace Corps' requirement adds a new worldwide dimension to seat offerings."

"We're anxious to get started," commented Doug Greene, CIO of the Peace Corps,
"FDC's Seat Management team is already on site and engaged in planning our
transition to seat services. This partnership will allow the Peace Corps to
leverage commercial best practices and allocate our IT resources to business
critical applications."

Dan Young, CEO of FDC, commented, "FDC is extremely excited to bring the same
level of excellent support to the Peace Corps as we have already done for the
Air Force. The Peace Corps can rest assured that they will receive the highest
level of support available from FDC."
