Dave, et al- Being a very non-techie person, is there any reason DRDRAM is not being used and/or considered for Apple chipsets? Or maybe it is? Just wondering. TIA

How's it going? Long-time, no-see.

I don't think Apple has ever come up as a topic before. If I had to take a stab at it, I'd guess either a) they've decided to use something else, or b) they want to use RDRAM but know that the supply will be limited for a while and that they'll be low on the supply totem pole. Alternatively, Apple seems to be focused more on low-end, Internet-enabled systems and those don't need RDRAM.

Of course, now you've done it! Not only will we have the AMD folks invading the thread telling us how bad RDRAM is (until AMD releases an RDRAM chipset, that is) but now the Apple people are going to have to start stopping by. <G>
