One could say that FFIV can grow much more than CSCO due
to CSCO's sheer size.

This is something that I would like to look at for a second.

FFIV can probably grow at a faster rate than CSCO for a short period of time. But once the market has been saturated with the product type that they offer, their growth will flatline.

What I am trying to point out is that CSCO has identified target markets that keep them growing (in a predictable manner) for a number of years in the future. Companies that have one product set such as SCMR, JNPR and FFIV have the ability to grow quickly for a short period of time, but they have a limited future without rounding out their product lines. I believe that the long term growth at pretty decent percentages outweighs the short term growth of these companies.
