The question ..

"What will CSCO stock do the day after earnings are announced?"

.. is not, IMO, as important as the question ..

"What will tech stocks do after CSCO, DELL, and AMAT announce this week?"

.

We will finally be done with earnings announcements from the
important technology stocks. That will relieve a lot of selling
pressure in the markets ... No more selling the day after.

It will be nice to have MSFT, DELL, ORCL, and CSCO
earnings behind us since these stocks constitute a big chunk
of the Nasdaq Composite.

And, next week we get the Fed increase behind us.

Gary, Please correct me if I am wrong, but the usual is an earnings excess of 1 cent. An excess of 2 cents would be huge given the split. My money would be on 1 cent over consensus with the bulk of the CC talking up ISP and carrier business growth. tp
