I see that G.Bush Jr.'s master spoke yesterday. Pat Robertson told him to steer clear of McCain, called him unbalanced.

Altlantic Monthly had an article on the Skull & Bones club that Jr. Sr. and Grandad all belong to. It seems that the Bush-leaguer didn't get a secret name, he had no achievement to earn a name and nobody would propose one, so he is known as temporary.

Looks good to me. The Nature Conservancy works similarly-- it buys up chunks of nature. Capitalist conservation. That's also the way that this organization works. It gets corporate sponsors to buy chunks of the rainforest for each click.

Today I saved 40 square feet of the rainforest with a single click, thanks to corporate sponsors! Every day I save a little bit, so when I go to bed, I can say, "Well, sure, I wasted hours on SI today and will never get my work done on time, but still, I bought a chunk of the rainforest, which is being destroyed at the rate of 2 acres every SECOND (and provides 50% of the oxygen we breathe!) and handed a couple of cups of grain to a hungry person!"

Ducks Unlimited is based on the principle:

"In order to save the village we had to destroy it!"

Like the PETA member who advocates meateating because it creates demand for cattle to be killed.
