ORCH - IPO from Friday

Orchid BioSciences

Orchid trimmed its shares price tag before offering them to the public to $8 to $9 from its previous $11-to-$13 estimate, and it decreased its number of shares to be offered from 8 million in an effort to draw investors.

The Princeton, N.J., firm sold its 6 million shares through underwriters CS First Boston, Robertson Stephens and Salomon Smith Barney.
