historically the NAZ p/e has fluctuated between 15 and 30...before the bubble took off.

Well, let's see... if the average Naz company were to grow their YOY earnings at the current projected CSCO level of 30%, the Naz would be at its historical high p/e of 30 by 2007. Of course, that 30% growth rate would also make today's $2T nasdaq market cap about 12T by 2007, which would exceed today's GDP. OTOH, if the Naz was cut in half, it could get to a p/e of 30 by the end of 04, and keep roughly its present market cap. OTOH... I'd better stop this crap before I really turn into a bear.

Here is an interesting chart of the Naz p/e as of Sept 99. You've got to scroll up and down to see it all, because the bubble doesn't fit on the screen. <g>
