But the security is no better than 1988. Setting aside file permissions and architectural stuff momentarily, Windows is just not as mature and robust than the stuff it competes against on the network. Okay, moment's up. Because of the 'multi-user' nature of Unix, the "average user" doesn't need to know squat about security. That's left up to the SysAdmin (who was to have been replaced by Windows by now). --- I really feel for you trying to get any traction in defending Windows here. It really does highlight the smart investment shoe you have standing on the ubiquitous computing SUNW side of things (while a dog is lifting his leg on over on your other shoe). <g> -JCJ
