We went short SCH about 1 pm. A bit late to the signal, but sometimes being too busy to trade pays off with a better price. The signal actually came a couple hours before that.

Mark and others New to the BTTT Thread:

The basic system we are experimenting with here (and it is, I emphasize, an experiment...our traditional BTTT calls are much more time-tested, just not as exciting!) is as follows:

a) find stocks with strong intra-week volatility as seen on hourly charts (20% or more range) with very high volume (DIGL is an exception here...but moves too well to pass on). This is probably the hardest part of the system.

b) trade 5MA/8MA crossovers long and short, with 100% realtime investment...no cash.

That's it! I check the charts at the open, every hour after that, and again at the close. Sometimes I am away and so am late to signals. And I have a partner in DC who sometimes watches and trades for me (this doesn't always work out). But ideally, this requires only about an hour's total of watching each day...less on less volatile days...and about 2 to 3 trades per week per stock. You can see the results for yourself.

Currently we are trading SCH, BVSN and DIGL with real funds, and LCOS with play money. We are not married to these, and will dump them for others when they go into prolonged sideways action.
