what does this mean? every coms gets 1.5 palm. And also hold coms? (ofcourse at a different value?)

Announces that they plan to extend their buyback program by up to $1 Billion. Separately, 3Com will distribute all Palm (PALM 32 1/4) shares to COMS shareholders of record on July 27; the distribution ratio will be approximately 1.5 PALM shares per COMS share. COMS trading up to 46 in after hours; PALM shares little changed.
