Pat in all do respect my purpose of the AVNX call was not to test George Gilder's reporting or credibility but to see if massive growth and or changes had taken place between the time Gilder had visited till now. It was apparent that many of the issues you are disputing came from out dated material I thought it best to have the company answer, then perhaps the issues could be put to rest.

PATS ANSWER: "As for the difference between 450 and 163 workers, it's reasonable to assume they had more than the 163 listed as of Dec. 31, but a stretch to say they had 450 at the time of GG's visit."

GILDERS ANSWER; "Replete with some 450 Asian workers."

AVNX ANSWER; "As of February 4, 2000, (which is when AVNX went public) employee count was 250, since going public they continue to add 20-30 new employees each week, to-date the approx. count is 450."

CONCLUSION: the number at Gilders visit was close to 350-375 give or take, if you consider the lower average of 20 new employees added weekly and assume Gilders visit was in early April. Gilders information proves to be more accurate than Pats 163.

-----------------------
PATS ANSWER: "AVNX's filings don't indicate any changes other than the option to lease the additional 91,000 sq. ft. mentioned in their most recent filing. No matter how you divide up the space you don't come near to having 150,000 sq. ft of manufacturing, making GG's research sloppy at best, misleading at worst."

GILDERS ANSWER: "deploying in two buildings with close to 150,000 square feet of manufacturing space at Encyclopedia Circle."

AVNX ANSWER: "As of June 2000 combined functional square footage will be 226,000."

CONCLUSION: It is entirely feasible manufacturing space could be close to 150,000 I cant imagine the remaining 76,000 square feet strictly dedicated to corporate offices.

Pat if I get a change I will call again tomorrow but I cant take notes as quickly as he speaks nor do I understand the technology aspects, as I said before I will leave those questions for the experts.

Good buys to all
