The QLogic move was shrewd. Ancor shareholders will benefit
mightily in the long run. I strongly suspect that there
are other very big players who "encouraged" the buyout. OEMs should like the arrangement for many reasons.

Two things are worth considering in regards to timing:

1) QLogic's earnings

2) The N+I exposition starting tomorrow

Since the timing was controlled, one can deduce that there
is a strategic purpose.
