Re: "Sounds like cool heads are pushing AMD. I am wondering if I need to do something to my May 75/85 calls. Last two times (Jan and Apr) the stock prices were actually not bad right at the expiry. Care to speak out any options gurus?"

Comment: Not claiming to be an option guru, but like you I am currently holding May 75's (as well as some Oct 70's and Jan 80's which I will sit on). Current considerations for the May 75's are (i) sell, (ii) sell 90,95 or 100 May calls against them or(iii) hold close to or 'til expiry...The 3 month chart provides the major determinant for my strategy and as lomg as AMD trades within the boundaries of the penant I am holding as my sense is that an upside breakout from this 3 month penant pattern will occur by May expiry as penant closure should occur by that time...A close above $93 will signal the onset of the breakout, imho!

Comment(2): Looks like we have very few buyers so far today so maybe Gopher Broke's trader is taking the opportunity to push down price to buy back calls? I do have to admit I'd have bet my eye teeth we'd not see AMD below $86 before expiry (currently $85-3/8)! Low AMD volumes (in a relative sense...10:30, 900,000 shares...lucky to see 2.5 million today at this rate compared to 7 million string for the past several weeks) demonstrated so far this AM can be exceedingly misleading...Let's see how the rest of the day pans out...I'm going to sit on my AMD May 75's, although selling May 90's against them is a consideration!
