I think by the time the scam shows up as proposed legislation, it's probably too late and will soon implode under it's own weight.

Like a pyramid scheme, the need now is to involve a millions of new folks. Ditto the hundred million new folks with their SS dollars in the market. After that gets started, the next step would be 50%% SS invested, then they'd have to push for 100%.

Then, amazingly, they'll propose a 25% margin if you put your house up for collateral. Then option trading of your SS dollars.

The fact that these things are popping up as potential legislation is an indication to me that the rocket fuel has been burnt, and now they are thinking they should quickly build that second stage to get the ship to the moon.

Generally speaking, it's too late to build a 2nd stage for a rocket that's up in the stratosphere already. <g>
