Hi CobaltBlue,

I wished I had a URL to share with you regarding the overall valuations of the markets, either real time or delayed. Alas, I've simply noted the values from comments on CNBC and in Barron's articles and until you provided a source, I really had nothing on the Web to refer to. Thank you very much for your reply and the inclusion of the URLs that you've collected.

TrimTabs seems amazingly out of reach ($24K -???) as a research tool, and as I reviewed their site, it struck me as odd that they appear to really only cover less than 1,000 mutual funds out of a universe of over 9,000 at present in the US markets alone. Makes me wonder.

I know of no source that will help us to overcome the driving with the rear view mirror syndrome. :(( This seems to be an advantage that the research departments at the wire houses will retain for their own purposes.

Now I'm wondering how to get a better handle on the current status of margin accounts and I see that the NYSE provides that, again with a month's delay. Grrr. I guess we are not meant to know these things. Same with short interest, FWIW.
Or how about Fund family purchases. Man oh man, the more I know about the market the more I realize I'm stumbling along like the blind man trying to discover that the thing before my blinded eye is an elephant an not just a whippy tail. Though I can tell which side of the beast all our information emanates from..... Sm:)e.

If I ever learn anything, I'll let you know...

Best, Ray
