I've been away for a week, so I missed your post. With the Fed's latest action, I think it's clear that they want to put a "lid" on this market for the foreseeable future. We could end up with a flat 2000, similar to 1994 when the Fed was last very active in raising rates (but '95-'99 were very nice thank you very much).

One scenario is that the Fed may never say explicitly that they are ending the raises but continue to be "alert to inflation" and keep the market in suspension for the balance of the year.

Another scenario is a trading range for the DOW between 10,300 and 11,300 until the election. If the Republicans win then the market will surge. If the Dems win, kiss the Bull market goodbye.

JMHO.

Intel has been holding up well, particularly after the motherboard fiasco. The split helps, I think.
