Hombre, I don't think timing is that crucial. People will be jumping the gun anyway [the shorts] so what the timing of Memorial Day cash account transfers will do is increase the steepness. I think Friday half an hour before the close would be most appropriate. But timing it that close would be too hard for most people.

Any day on the last working day, Friday 27th, before Memorial Day 29th May, [= 30th to those in New Zealand who should not jump the gun], would be best. Then people who forget could come in the day after Memorial Day, which would accelerate the spike greatly.

It would be a fitting tribute to the people who have defended freedom. A kind of cyberspace fireworks, celebrating that freedom.

I'll think of my father [WWII, beating Erwin in the African desert and chasing them up Italy]! We have our own ANZAC day to remember old soldiers.

Even a couple of days before the 27th would be fine too.

I'll aim for 27th to drive my Tonka-Truck away from the shorts.

Any suggestions fine and everyone can and will of course do their own thing.

Maurice

PS: Some say shorting is UnAmerican. I don't subscribe to that idea, but it would be nice if the shorts could all cover around Memorial Day to show solidarity with the defenders of freedom [which many would argue we still don't enjoy much of - $ill Gates would say freedom is circumscribed at best].
