< I'm sure your aware that historically speaking during periods when earnings growth in the S&P 500 exceeded 20 percent, the index has gained only about 1%.> Didn't know it extended to the S&P... thanks. Makes sense. It's investing 101 that cyclical stocks like GM etc. bottom out when they're losing money hand over fist and trade on very low PEs and 'look' cheap at the top... Things always look great at the top. Great article in the WSJ about the vacation home market being RED HOT at the moment... DAK
