The only CNBS regular guests worth watching are Schottenfeld, Tobias and Meehan. 99% of the rest are only worth watching for the comedy value as they weakly defend their positions.

I will never forget Schottenfeld on Squawk in December, telling Haines the dot.com and B2B stuff was just a bubble and fixing to burst. Haines looked at Schottenfeld like he was speaking in a foreign tongue, then blasted Schottenfeld as in "are you CRAZY??? Everyone else who comes on Squawk LOVES the B2B stocks, you must be out of your mind..." Well, as Paul Harvey says, now you know the rest of the story...four months later, B2B stocks are about as popular as REITs. In fact, Schottenfeld wasn't on Squawk for about 2 months after that, and I wonder if it had something to do with Schottenfeld saying on-air that "the emperor had no clothes." I think to maintain their ratings, they tell guests behind the scenes, "if you can't say anything nice about the market, then don't say anything at all."
