Interesting... It does not surprise me though. One reason Intel is in the motherboard business is so they won't be saddled with the problem of a lot flaky motherboards from third party manufacturers. It takes a a certain level of engineering expertise to design PC boards that work well at hundreds and thousands of MHZ. The processors have been faster than the memories for some time and now the memories are catching up.

We will see more of this type of problem as clock speeds rise.
