Short squeeze? Nah...looks like the opposite, what with this submarine dive from ~$18 now being effected.

It's a classic strategy, complete with yanking the bid down and widening the spread. A classic strategy designed to kill any/all upwards pressure. Matter of fact...I expect the ask gambit to occur, in SPADES, in conjunction with the killing attempt.

Bottom line? Expect a wrestling match today between the opposing camps, with end results being it stays more, or less, where it ended yesterday(imho, of course). Even so, clearly maintaining the lid on VLNC is getting harder and harder. As you stated(and I paraphrase), with this new p.o., complete with a request to "formalize" the relationship, me thinks somebody has found VLNC's product(s) to have sufficient efficacy to warrant continuing to buy. And this ain't a bad "thang."
