I'm saddened that anyone would question the depth of my compassion towards developing countries... we should be able to put aside our trivial little squabbles and concentrate on what is best for South America. What would enable the people there to bridge the gap between their countries and the world's leading markets? I'm afraid I see only one common feature linking the world's largest digital operator (China Telecom), the world's most sophisticated operator (Sonera) and the world's most competitive market (Omnitel versus TIM).
