I imagine the representatives yelling the loudest for DOJ
cuts have the greatest number of pro-MSFT constituencies.
The ironic consequence of this is that MSFT is already
heading "full-speed" down a legal battle(s) hill that probably can't be stopped. By calling for DOJ cuts these same representatives are increasing the likelihood that future monopolies (possibly preying on MSFT) will not be pursued. The result could very well be; a MSFT feeding frenzy by future "monopolists".

In my mind, another compelling reason for MSFT to settle.
