George,

Ya know it is funny. We can see the end of the Kosovo
peacekeeping mission coming down the tracks. Yet, it
seems that nobody cares. The UN mission to Kosovo is
a failure. They even admit that. But Clinton and Blair
and the other politicians that created this situation
will never admit they were wrong. Thus, the situation
will simpy deteriorate until some Americans start getting
shot...once there are dead Americans, then the blame
game will begin. Clinton will blame Republicans and
vice-versa. Politics will not allow a solution. In
fact, this morning I actually talked to someone who
served in Bosnia. He was telling me how there is an
unwritten policy of "zero" risk. In other words, if
anything goes wrong (someone gets shot) someone will
get the blame, their career is destroyed etc. He said
that this policy made it impossible for the peacekeepers
to do their job. Thats why the French have been doing
all the dirty work. The Americans are paralyzed with
fear of making any mistakes. This policy is also helping
the KLA consolidate power. Eventually, we will be at
war with the KLA. At least in Viet Nam we had some allies.
In Kosovo, everyone wants us out at this point. Its
going to get really ugly soon.
