In 1970 gold was selling at $37 an ounce, when it began an exciting bull market which saw it rise more than 2000% to
more than $800 an ounce by the early 1980s (see top window of top chart). Only in its final stage did its bull market catch the public's attention.>

haven't i said just the very same thing about the technology boom that has been going on for over 20 years now, people who wouldn't have thought about buying microsoft or some risky tech stock several years ago, are now waiting in line at their computer terminal (picture em waiting in line at the bullion bank in 80 -g-) to place that buy on open order for the latest and greatest ticket from the porch -g-

you don't want to be out when the worm turns in the xau, the price has been manipulated, like it was back then, it's under severe compression, it'll be pop goes the weasel.

i recently read a speech by one of the miner ceo's, who was talking about the miner's who became dot.coms, the speech was pretty gloomy, kind of reminded me of the sheik's talking about $5 oil -g-

the grains have all broken out of H&S bases, oil isn't done yet either, the 6 year commodity cycle is just getting underway.
