In TA terms AMD is filling in the gap....for the past few weeks AMD has been pushed forward by momentum traders. The momentum is gone and so are the traders. Like someone said earlier, do not be surprised if we hit the high 70's before moving up again.

Can someone say buying opportunity!!

CA: <<Any notions as to why AMD down so much today?>>

The recent 13G filing of Fidelity, hypings by MM Jerry Castllili on CNBC and Sudeep Balain of H&Q signal the temporary end of institutions' accumulations of AMD. Without institutions' buying, AMD can not stand alone viagraly in times like today.

Xico news today seems to cast some doubt as to whether semi booming circle can continue.

The low volume indicates that the stock is at the mercy of individual investors, especially those bought recently who lack profit buffer zone (unlike most longs on this thread) and likely to sell quick when Naz is weak, thus create dramatic downward presure with relatively small volume.
