Yes it is real (I don't agree that is it rising fast), but is it structural inflation?

History, over the last 3 years, would say you are wrong about 1.
Inflation is real, but it doesn't seem to be increasing at any kind of cyclically supported rate - YET. Even so, it remains LOW by historical standards (25 years being the standard, generally).
I stated the 3rd was a high probability, but I'm willing to bet it's the last one.

As for the Bear market, we've been in a "bear" market about 6 times over the last 3 years. This one doesn't look very different than those. Particularly when you consider that the cash now currently on the sidelines is considerably greater than at any of those previous points. People ARE skittish, but whenever the market goes schizo....people get skittish. Remember August 1998? Same stories...I remember hearing about the McLellan Oscillator and the "bear" market every day through August/Sept.
