Sysco vs. Cisco Story:

This is a true story:

My boss is a 60+ year old woman who was in an investment club. The club was very conservative and invested by strict rules. Based on these rules, tech was out.

Around 3 years ago, the club did decide to buy Sysco (the food/restaurant supplier). They ORALLY told their treasurer that they wanted to buy Sysco. They knew nothing about the tech giant.

The treasurer did know about the tech giant, and not the restaurant supplier. While she thought the purchase was outside the strict rules, she made the purchase anyway.

And the rest is retirement history . . .
