thanks, gott. in the link you provided i easily found the quoted article. here's the excerpt... and the gospel according to gates:

Gottfried, thanks for the suggestion about installing Win98, I tried to that, but silly me forgot it wasn't a Win98 upgrade, but the full version...Of course it absolutely refused to install it over Win95..but its installed, now thanks to a teckie friend at the shop..
