Well, I have to admit, I wasn't paying attention to all of it... (I was working while it was on!) But, I don't recall anything that stood out as a major warning flag.

Anyone else catch anything?

Risks I heard were:

- Component shortages
- Execution

I'm sure there were more but this is what I recall. The 10Q will have the detail.

Tom

Welcome to the thread.

Having been here for a few years it's getting interesting on this thread compared to what it was a few years ago.

I've owned Cisco long since 93-94 time frame and traded it before that. I have told people over the last few years that if they buy the company where it's at they should look to hold the stock for at least a year to see a solid return.
Of course over the last 6 years it has performed much better than I expected.

The high PE is intimidating especially since it has expanded to higher than historical levels the last few months. This is a concern if you are a short term holder looking for a quick gain but going forward a year I'm not concerned.

Cisco is currently my largest holding (over 90% of my stock assets) but it wasn't that way back in 94! I have sold about 20% of it the last year to pay off the houses and buy a few toys and build up some cash. I don't intend to sell any more for probably a couple of years. Going forward I truly feel more bullish on the stock now than I did two or three years ago. Cisco's business plan continues to get better and better.

As you know you have to put your money where your mouth is and I'm still very bullish with the stock. It's been the best stock I've owned in the last 30+ years by a wide margin!

I have worked in Technology all my adult life and still am in amazement of the breakthroughs that are occurring in wireless, optical and wired communications networks.

There is a lot of money to make going forward.

Regards,

Eric
