Rocky, I agree with your post but you forgot to mention April 15th. The same people who have been getting margin calls were probably planning on taking some gains in April to pay last year's taxes. For many, their gains turned to loses at the worst possible time. Not to mention the fact that some of those illusory profits had previously been converted into new Mercedes and other "wealth effect" purchases. IMHO, the real money in this economy is in corporate coffers, not in the checking accounts of individual investors. Craig
