LOL, I was in NYC a number of years ago... at that time I was living in Winnfield, La. (Long Country)...When I told them I was from La. they said "Oh, the Longs were from La weren't they". Earl made a statement one time that everyone needed honest government occassionally just so they would know that that was really not what they wanted. Edwards atty asked him if he committed the crimes he was accused of. His response was something like this "Well, I tell you ... I am 70+ years old and I don't have but maybe 8 or 10 more good years...." Then the prosecutor objects and the judge directs him to just answer the question. So Edwards say "No I did not". He then walks up to the prosecutors table and says "All I can tell you is that you sure missed one helluva speach". That was a direct quote printed in the paper. Is that funny or what. Hell, if I was on the jury (even though I didn't help elect him the first time) I would have to vote to acquit. G Monty
