How about QQQ on the AMEX?

Michael, I much prefer QQQ's to individual tech stocks. They are extremely liquid, you get instant diversification and you usually get filled inside the spread. Each QQQ represents 2 1/2% of the NASDAQ 100 and you can sometimes scalp a little arbitrage when the ratio gets a little out of sync. They are marginable and you can short without an uptick. You don't have to try to understand the mumbo-jumbo of the individual tech businesses. I tend to daytrade them with tight stops since I don't want to get caught in a gap down overnight but if I feel the NAZ has some momentum, I'll position trade but always with tight stops. The key thing is to never get caught in a big downturn. The daily action in QQQ's is phenomenal, usually at least $2B.
