Hi Scared but Hopeful; (slightly OT) Yeah, I guess a 10% performance improvement is nothing to sneeze at... Back in the frame buffer days, block clears were much more of a performance improvement, maybe 25%.

It should be interesting to see where graphics memory goes next. I would think that x64 DDR chips should be announced in the next 3 months, and at higher bandwidths. The other possibility is putting the memory on an MCM with the GPU.
