In the case of SBC Comm. Pronto Project, NN delivers
IP/ATM network based on, just introduced into SBC and BT and few others.... network after extensive testing, 50 Git/s switch-router, which in
multishelf version later this year will be 450 Git/s.(scale to 5 Tbit/s)
It has separate IP/MPLS and ATM protocols.
ATM based DSLMs comes form Alcatel.
Everthing will be manage by NN 40620 management platform.
As you know in few weeks ALA/NN will merge.

Gary, as you know IP/ATM stands for IP run over ATM infrastructure for QoS.
You can also run FR,ATM cell and many other application like
x25 or circuit emulation over ATM.
Everthing can be categorized in different segments.
CSCO is selling lots of IP services over ATM to ISP and
CLECs for QoS, as most realize that all IP network with
Qos is still a dream for many years to come.
