We had an old cantankerous lovely dog named Char that simply got old (I think about 20 years) and JXM's dad had the unfortunate duty to deal with those things that happen when dogs get old. She was buried at a place called Taylor's Creek someplace around Lake Tahoe. I still mourn that dog as if it were a child. Once, (a very long time ago)while I was pushing JXM in a stroller, Char chased a bunny (someone's pet on the loose), caught it, gripped it in her teeth, and presented it to JXM on the tray on his stroller. So gentle... with so much expectation that she'd done the right thing. Dogs are such good people. We feel for you Rich1 and know what you are suffering.
