Wingfool,

There's a very real difference between creating content and playing content. We all know this. Where do you draw the line? Or am I just a monkey asking a silly question? By the way...since you have classified everyone you run across, what are your credentials? We are all monkeys and fools so what do you have to offer except for that observation? If you want to apply for cheerleader I'd rather have Jan Allen Garrity. Help the monkeys understand. Why should we listen to you?

There is no valid reason IMO why Excite has to go it's separate way.

Excite is not needed to enable the delivery of BB services. ATHM is controlled by a company (AT&T) that doesn't want to get involved in content, but rather has bet their future growth on BB services. Therefore, Excite is an unneeded distraction.

Why would you want a major business unit of a company to be controlled by leaders that don't understand or care about it. It seems very logical to spin Excite out and let them build a BB brand from the head start they have now.

Excite is establishing brand, separate from @Home.

@Home is advertised, as you saw for yourself, as MSO@Home. You saw an @Home ad, the general public saw an AT&T ad. @Home has zero identity without the MSOs.
