You're dead on. I know of many people who have been knocked out of the game, including some top traders at some of the well-known market makers whose personal accounts went from the multi-millions down to zero. Some simply stopped showing up at the office.

In his earlier days, the nickname for GE's Jack Welsh was "Neutron Jack" because all the people were wiped out but the buildings were left standing. Kind of reminds me of the stock bulletin boards these days...
