All this time you apparently had a lot of people thinking you were just stupid. Now it turns out that your failure to carry on a logical debate with them is because you weren't listening, just reciting your TRUTH. You convey that you had no intention of trying to understand other points of view, to learn something from them, or, perish the thought, actually modify your position in light of their arguments. Pretty rude in my book. If posters just want to pontificate rather than engage in dialog there's a simple and courteous way to do that. You simply post to yourself. If you respond to other posters, particularly if you include quotes from their posts to indicate the points to which you are responding, then people naturally think it's a debate and they expect your arguments to be coherent and on point. Otherwise, after a period of time, they come to think than you're stupid. When, in fact, you may be just rude. [Of course, a display of rudeness doesn't obviate stupidity, although it may cover it up.] Karen
