In regards to the euro it is unit trying to accommodate many units as a peg so it takes time to find it's own. It is not one political climate but a tie in of many so it has it pros and cons.

Difficult time to judge tho because of the air being let out of balloon and jump starts here.
Wonderful tech got lost in black holes that appeared in the blue skies. They are using that tech over there with far fewer black holes and much less balloon which i classify as blue chip in my thought process.
I liked your accounting of the euro as it was something I never thought about before. Good thought process old nations that have survived with or without the euro. Interesting times creation to compete with US dollar which could truly have flooded the world with less value than the world realized.

Easier to try to call this economy now.
