At 2:30 ET CTXS started to quickly move up on not bad volumes. Any clues why? Do you think it was the Paine Webber report?

Could someone with a Paine Webber account confirm or deny the information in this post made yesterday? While it is consistent with the Briefing.com Paine Webber info it would be nice to see some sort of confirmation beyond a Yahoo post. Thanks - peggylynn

PW analyst Don Young just came out and said that he spoke with CTXS management, and that there is no truth to the comments out of Dain Rauscher today. Specifically, May was a BETTER month than April, and there is no discounting going on in order to get revenues.

It's interesting that Don Young is sticking his neck out like this -- after all, yesterday's downturn in CTXS was caused by a disappointing presentation at the PaineWebber conference. In addition, Don Young is saying that he spoke with CTXS management, whereas Dain Rauscher's comments were based on "channel checks". Who do you believe -- management, or unnamed sources in the "channel"?
