Is the downside limited for LSI from here? Yes, it is. I see earnings in '01 as hitting $2.00 a share. Also I see 4Q sales in '01 at around $1.1 billion. That means that the worst the stock can do is 35 or about 17 times forward looking earnings. And with sales at $1.1 billion that equals about 3 times sales at today's prices. That tells me that the risk downside from today's prices is not too bad.

On the other hand, I freely admit that I thought we had hit a bottom, and it was clear that we had not. So to that extent, I got caught with my pants down. Furthermore, the better buy in the semi sector is PMCS, so when I put new money in the market, it will be in PMCS rather than LSI.

Finally, as anyone who has ever read this thread knows, I have a soft spot in both my head and my heart for LSI and Wilf.

Regards
