Re: Big Lou

dave & thread,

If anyone can find Lou's prepared remarks yesterday, they are a must read. They are posted on our internal site, but they must be outside of our firewall somewhere.

Lou is a bright guy and really understands where the industry is going.

Lou also mentions that IBM will be releasing its mid-range Sun crushers tommorrow to go along with our high end SP80 that is already outselling Sun's high end 3 to 1. It looks like from here on out, IBM will be all copper based.

Lou also talks about our strategy with middleware. We're taking the opposite approach as ORCL. We're not trying to destroy our customers, we're working with them. Lou uses Seibel as an example.

Anyways, I think reading Lou's prepared remarks would help understand where I'm coming from wrt ORCL and SUNW.
