Don't forget, just getting something done doesn't always require whizzy-looking and expensive 3-D graphics --- Anecdotally, I haven't been out of a remote Unix shell in over a month. Not one time have I had the need to cause a local hard drive head to spin. -JCJ

I like the concept of Linux because it allows you do to everything outside of the GUI, and you can mess with the "bitstream" to your heart's content.

One thing MSFT cannot seem to grasp is that sometimes "less is more." They insist upon putting Windows, even where it isn't wanted/needed. It is as though they are counting on processor-power-advances to ultimately carry the day for WinCE, but that seems like a risky proposition to me.
