OT (Tech related): Someone wanted out of ADPT real bad today. Can't find any reason why. Anyone see anything? I think FMR is trimming. They have a very unusual and predictable style of selling that I have seen in other stocks recently. I hope this is it because none of the stocks they trimmed had or have since come out with any bad news.

Slider,

Your impression of an economy grinding to a halt in the midwest is dead on....and I doubt the fed is taking the time to notice that the past rate hikes are already having the "desired" effects. The problem now seems they are desperate to not "fall behind the curve"...

One point to ponder when fed watching...is the effect anymore hikes will have on the Euro. The currency is already weak...and the more our fed hikes...the weaker the Euro will become...forcing the central banks to raise rates.

All this is fine and dandy...but when does it become too much and create a recession....I don't think the economy is anywhere near as strong as the government figures project...and the balance between a "soft landing" and a recession wouldn't be realized until the damage is done.

Want to make a bet that the "R" word starts getting bantered about...all over CNBC next week? In that likely event...how strong a "relief" rally do you think we'll see?

Right now, the only safe "plays" appear to be in NG...and more NG...

Just my thoughts
