1943-44-45 Ted Williams was serving his country in WWII.

The 1944 World Series pitted the St.Louis Cardinals and the St.Louis Browns.

Look it up,if you don't know how ,ask.

OT - Thomas, Ted Williams was in the service during the 1944 World Series. The only world series he ever played in was the 1946 World Series.
