The Indian demand for gold has surged in the past few days. Also the Indian Rupee (currency has depreciated by about 3% against the US dollar over the last few weeks.

P.S. re: Euro weakness, the South African Rand, Colombian Peso, and Mexican Peso are all also going beyond currency crisis lows. Meanwhile, commodities, EXCEPT the ones generally considered to be STORES OF VALUE, are trending up against the dollar.
