Re: shorting CNC, I wrote this:

Can anyone help me out on my principal idea, i.e., using the $500M purchase price Lehman paid upfront for $1.5B of their assets as a "lever" to divine the maximum possible value of the remainder of their assets? And therefore, if it works, determine that CNC is truly a go-to-zero short?

P.S. This is probably a long shot, but does anyone have a copy of the extremely damning report/analysis that Ray Dirks posted on his web site three or so years ago? Subsequent to this, he and Conseco "kissed and made up" (or perhaps they "made him an offer he couldn't refuse"?), and he pulled the report. I would think that it would make very, very good reading these days (although I could not understand it at the time).

Great one,

This was a post of mine to TRIIBoy during your long and painful absence:

Just a quick overview of DTSI is the following:
Insiders own 7%, almost always net buyers.
Current price = 8 5/8
Book Value = 11 5/8
Revenue = 55 million
Market Cap = 18 million
PE = 24
Price/Sales = 0.5
Cash = $2.00/share
Long Term Debt= 3 million
Institutional ownership is at 50%.

With today's huge earnings and 25% move, I hope that you and some of the others who populate this hallowed ground benefited from this little company in the mid 8's.

Cube
