I don't think too many will take their motherboard out and return it (unless they were stupid enough to buy one and build their own). They will likely expect INTEL or DELL or whomever to come out and replace the motherboard. Or at the very least send the computer back for a replacement.

I don't think some people will even bother. Either they will toss the PC in a couple of years if there are serious problems or they will tolerate/ignore any problems that crop up. I don't think most people understand their PC's well enough to formulate a complaint.

Remember Intel has said repeatedly that the problems have surfaced only in their labs. While I do not believe that entirely, I bet there have not been that many complaints from customers.
