One funny thing is that sales and us are totally seperate. Maybe it's like this at all companies, but it seems really odd to me that some "marketing" moron would be telling a customer how big a system they need.

I was recently involved in an install where the customer started to ask, "why is the site so slow?"

The reason was obvious, they were sold an AS/400 that was about half of what they needed. My project manager said not to make a big deal of this (we don't want to rip on another part of our company). Simply put, a technical person would have never sold the customer that small of a system for their needs.

But a sales person looking to make a sale...
